2022 Chrysler 300 In a market where a crossover SUV disguises itself as a sedan during the day, the wayward Chrysler 300 refuses to budge. For the 2022 model year, we look forward to seeing this large capacity four-door sedan once again and if we follow the rumors, there’s a good chance to see the all-electric avatar of the iconic Chrysler 300.
Speaking of design, the car will be reminiscent of a decade-old design and will have some design elements refreshed both inside and out as Chrysler is known to offer slight tweaks in successive model year updates. Thus, other characteristics will be the carry forward of the 2022 Chrysler 300.
As was the case in previous years, a larger engine and red interior provided for the more powerful 300S. Overall, we can say that this will be an interesting car to look at in 2022 as it is one of the last few cars standing and is giving the likes of the Chevrolet Impala, Nissan Maxima, and Dodge Charger stiff competition.
2022 Chrysler 300 is expected to return for the last time, after this if rumors are to be believed then you will see your beloved 300 in EV avatars after 2022. As for the Chrysler 300 2022, it is expected to flaunt elegant design and iconic style, clad in luxury and infused with performance. The 300 Series will be packed with segment-exclusive features and state-of-the-art technology, including the all-new Uconnect 4C system.
Powering the 2022 Chrysler 300 will be the familiar V-6 or V-8 engine, the latter of which is very powerful but consumes fuel like a truck. Both will be mated to the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission as standard on every 2022 300 model, with all-wheel drive (AWD) with front axle disconnection available for the Touring and Touring L models.
By the 2022 Chrysler 300, the automaker plans to retain its position as a large sedan maker. and brave Americans who refuse to die even in the face of today’s mass-favorite SUVs and crossovers.
2022 Chrysler 300 Preview
The new Chrysler 300 lineup in 2022 will get three attractive trims to choose from namely the Touring, Touring L, and the 300S (Reviewed Separately).
Starting with the Touring trim, it is expected that at around $ 31,000 it will get 17-inch wheels, rearview cameras, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather-covered steering wheel, eight-way electric driver’s seat with lumbar support. The new Chrysler Uconnect system will also be available as standard which will support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Touring L will cost a little more and is expected to have a standard V6 under the hood, 18-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, a power-adjustable passenger seat, heated front seats, and a safety alarm.
There will also be an additional Driver’s Comfort package, which is expected to be priced at around $ 1000 and will add 18-inch alloy wheels to the Touring and navigation to the Touring L trim, in addition to a host of other items.
The Sports Appearance Pack, Chrome Appearance Pack, and Interior Appearance Pack will also be available early at an additional cost of around $ 1,600, $ 1,700, and $ 500, respectively.
2022 Chrysler 300 Review
If you’re the kind of person who prefers reading physical books to using a Kindle, the Chrysler 300 could be a big sedan to grab your nostalgic heart. Vintage sedans like this simply don’t sell in the numbers they used to, which is why rivals like the Chevrolet Impala have been discontinued altogether.
The 2022 Chrysler 300 has arrived in the United States for a price of $ 30,445 to $ 36,370. The 300 comes in two different trims, namely the Touring and Touring L trims, and the outgoing 300C has been discontinued for 2020.
With this 2022 update, the Chrylser 300 has managed to receive a marginal increase of $ 1,000, making it one of the most value for money. full-size sedans are on sale today. However, the 300 still maintains the same powertrain under the hood, namely the 3.6L naturally aspirated V6 that delivers 292 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque.
Together with the two trims offered with the 2022 Chrysler 300, it also features the 2022 300S trim, which comes with an MSRP of $ 38,890, getting more interior, exterior, and safety features than the regular trim. There is also a HEMI V8 motor offered with the 300S, which increases the cost to $ 42,350.
With competition from the Chevrolet Impala 2022, Nissan Maxima 2022, and Dodge Charger 2022 fierce, we’ll see how the 2022 Chrysler 300 trumps its competitors in this in-depth review.
The 2022 Chrysler 300 comes in three trims, namely Touring, Touring L, and S. For all three trims, the standard engine and transmission is the tried and tested Pentastar V6 3.6L motor mated to the 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission.
Coming with an MSRP of $ 41,395, the 2022 Chrysler 300 is also equipped with a powerful 5.7L V8 motor that produces 363 hp. The same 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission also does its job here.
Speaking of safety and the interior of the front, the 2022 Chrysler 300 manages to receive subtle changes. Higher trims like the Touring L and S, both of which come with a base price of $ 33,620 and $ 37,395 get more safety features as standards such as front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear traffic alerts.
Infotainment is also taken care of by the 8.4-inch UConnect touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM radio.
However, there is something captivating about the easy vanity of the 300 and the hefty Hemi V8 engine with 363 horsepower.
Chrysler has added more safety gear for the 2022 model year, but this is one area where the 300 shows its age. It also uses a lot of fuel and its Dodge Charger company cousin offers more power. But amidst the crossover crowd, we are delighted that the flawed but characterful 2022 Chrysler 300 is still around.

Chrysler 300 Redesign 2022
2022 Chrysler 300 Redesign has streamlined its 300 line-ups in the US this year. Only four trims – Touring, Touring L, S V6, and S V8 – are offered, which means the 2022 Chrysler 300 Limited and Chrysler 300c 2022 derivatives have disappeared.
Both the Touring L and S variants now come with front/rear parking sensors, blind-spot warnings, and rear traffic alerts. On the S model, the S Red Appearance Package is standard and adds 20-inch Black Noise wheels, a Black Noise exterior badge, and a front fascia application in Gloss Black.
Two new packages are now offered for the Touring L and S versions: these are the Group Comfort Package and the Popular Equipment Package. They added features like bi-xenon adaptive high-intensity-discharge headlights, a heated steering wheel, a two-panel panoramic sunroof, and a premium sound system.

2022 Chrysler 300 Specs
Chrysler has reduced the 300 range for the 2022 model year, leaving only four trims: Touring, Touring L, and S V6, and S V8. All versions other than the top trim come with a 3.6-liter V6 engine as standard, which produces 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft in the lower two trims and 300 hp / 264 lb-ft in the S V6.
Both Tourings can be upgraded from RWD to AWD, but the S trim is limited to RWD. However, the S V8 is the only variant to feature a 363 hp and 394 lb-ft 5.7 liter Hemi V8 engine. The eight-speed automatic transmission was common to all 300s.
The Base Touring is equipped with dual-function halogen projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, heated mirrors, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the base price gives you upholstered seats, eight-way power driver seats, dual-zone climate control, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system.
The Touring L’s mid-range specs include LED fog lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, blind-spot monitoring, rear traffic alerts, power-adjustable eight-way front passenger seat, heated front seats, and Nappa leather upholstery.
Moving on to the S V6 is equipped with a performance suspension, transmission paddle shifter, black finish, and 20-inch wheels. It also features a Nappa leather sport bucket seat and an enhanced sound system with a 276-watt digital amplifier.
Lastly, the S V8 combines the sportier upgrades of the S V6 with the Hemi V8’s most powerful engine. This model requires power up to 363 hp and the 0-60 time drops to just over five seconds.
As before, two powerful engines are offered, starting with the 3.6-liter V6 engine which is standard in the first three trims. This can be paired with a rear-wheel drive or all. With this engine and in RWD disguise, the 300 can go from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds according to independent tests. It’s not very fast but it should be fast enough for most people.
To unlock even more performance, the 5.7-liter V8 engine is at its best as it delivers a strong 363 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque. Standard on the 300S V8, it can power 300 from 0 to 60 mph in less than six seconds according to Chrysler, although independent testing shows that this version of the 300 can hit 60 mph in about 5.3 seconds. That’s faster than the V6-engined Toyota Avalon but not as fast as the supercharged Dodge Charger.
Then again, the Charger is one of the fastest four-door family sedans in the world. If you want a 2022 Chrysler 300 AWD with a V8 engine, you are out of luck because only a V6 can be had with an AWD system. With either engine, the 2022 Chrysler 300 has a maximum crane capacity limited to just 1,000 lbs.
2022 Chrysler 300C
The Chrysler 300 C is the best offering in its group, and it also happens to be a performance-oriented one. The Cat 300 C is equipped with a 5.7L HEMI V8 that delivers 383 hp and 394 lb-ft of power and is only available in RWD configuration.
The standard 2022 Chrysler 300 is powered by a 3.6L Pentastar V6 capable of producing 292 hp and 260 lb-ft of power and is available in RWD and AWD configurations. As well as engine differences, the 300C also gets standard Nappa leather seats and wood accents on the inside.
2022 Chrysler 300 Interior
The 2022 Chrysler 300 will come with a very plain Jane interior design that will remind you of the 2022 Chrysler 300 interior. The cabin features are antique but of decent quality. Cheap plastic will show its presence in the cabin so that the overall interior has the feel of an economical car. So we feel that the interior will not satisfy the buyer, which is not expected of this American beauty.
You will definitely appreciate the Uconnect Chrysler infotainment system for its ease of use, intuitive menu layout, and sharp performance. The 2022 Chrysler 300 will get a similar 8.4-inch touchscreen, which it will carry over from the previous model.
Features that will be witnessed are satellite radio, Bluetooth, two USB ports, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a nine-speaker audio system, a Panoramic sunroof, Power Accessory, Paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel, and many more. Although the taller trim gets a lot of options as standard.
It might still seem a neighbor from the outside, but the 300’s interior is undeniably aging. Luckily, this perception is mostly tied to old-fashioned design, but once you start using it, the cabin works great. The controls for the ventilation and infotainment systems don’t require a steep learning curve, the lounge-like seats are very comfortable and spacious, and the top trim feels quite luxurious.
The touring is rather basic, with upholstery and no heated seats. But at the top, the 300 comes with Nappa leather seats and power-adjustable seats for the two front passengers. The safety package remains somewhat disappointing, as lane departure warnings and adaptive cruise control are both optional, and only in the top two trims.
Seating and Space The comfortable seating interior is the hallmark of the 2022 Chrysler 300, with comfortable cushions keeping everyone happy during longer journeys. In addition, there will be sufficient leg and headroom for everyone except the tallest adult.
Even though three passengers can fit in the back, two passengers will be happier. Regardless of the model you choose, the driver’s seat offers an eight-way power adjustment with lumbar support, while a memory system for the seat and tilt/telescope steering column is available.
Unfortunately, visibility to the rear is blocked by thick roof pillars, so changing lanes requires careful attention from the driver. The standard blind-spot monitoring system on the top three trims is certainly a welcome feature in this car. The low step-in height contributes to easy entry and exit.
- Seating capacity 5 seats
- Front Legroom 41.8 inches
- Front Headroom 38.6 inches
- Rear Legroom 40.1 in
- Rear Headroom 37.9 inches
The trunk of the 2022 Chrysler 300 is a good size and on par with other sedans of similar size. 16.3 cubic feet of luggage space is sufficient for daily necessities, a few golf bags, or about six carry-on cases. The 60/40-split foldable rear bench seat can be rolled forward to accommodate longer items.
Interior storage space is more useful than brilliant, as we found the door pockets to be a little smaller than we wanted. The usual glove compartment applies, while the middle armrest cover can be lifted up to reveal ample storage space. All models have two LED illuminated cupholders at the front and more cupholders integrated into the rear seat armrests.

2022 Chrysler 300 SUV Tech Features
For access to the best features, you’ll need to upgrade to at least the Touring L. However, the 300 isn’t fully loaded with features to the same standards as some other large sedans. Base Touring is equipped with remote keyless entry/go, push-button ignition, automatic headlights, and dual-zone climate control.
It also gets a manual tilt/telescoping steering column, an eight-way power driver seat with four-way power lumbar support, and safety equipment such as rearview cameras and hill-start assistance. The Touring L adds heated front seats, auto dimmed exterior driver mirrors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear traffic alerts.
The S version comes with paddle shifters and performance suspension, but what sets the top three trims apart from the Touring is their choice. This model can be equipped with drivers’
All 300s come standard with the brand’s Uconnect 4C infotainment system which combines all the essential connectivity features with an easy-to-understand menu layout. The 8.4-inch touchscreen color display provides access to HD Radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM radio with an inclusive trial for six months.
Along with Bluetooth audio streaming, there is a media hub with a pair of USB ports and an audio jack, while the system can also respond to voice commands. A six-speaker sound system is standard on the bottom two trims, while the S V6 and S V8 use six premium Alpine speakers and include a 276-watt digital amplifier.
In the top three trims, nine premium speakers with a subwoofer placed in the trunk are available, as is navigation with SiriusXM Traffic Plus.
Some of the interior features and infotainments offered with the 2022 Chrysler 300 are:
- Panoramic sunroof
- An air conditioner with dual-zone temperature control
- 60/40 separate rear seats
- Leather upholstery
- Leather-covered dashboard and door cards
- The seat is heated and ventilated with electronic adjustment
- Six premium speakers with a 276-watt digital amplifier
- AM / FM / HD radio system
- Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto
- Voice Commands Integrated with Bluetooth
- Media Hub with audio jack and two USB ports
2022 Chrysler 300 Exterior
The 2022 Chrysler 300 will likely retain the same design as the previous model. Which we think now is ripe to repeat. But as we all know, Chrysler has long been sluggish when it comes to making major changes to its car. Although the elegance of the vehicle remains the same and will be built on the same LX platform. The 2022 model will again be offered in many colors to choose from, we hope the 2022 model year will also make that red interior available in the standard 300 as well.
The 2022 Chrysler 300 will manage to become the toughest car among the competition. Even though the Impala remains the longest vehicle, the wheelbase is at 300 and the Charger remains the longest at 120.2 inches. However, Impala leveled it with a top ground clearance of 7.1 inches
Objectivity should always be exercised when judging the appearance of any vehicle, but leaving that aside for a moment, is there any doubt that this is a much more attractive car than a high-riding crossover? Wide and long, 300 still has a lot of presence.
The black grille with bright surrounds on the bottom two trims is replaced by a black chrome surround on the sportier 2022 Chrysler 300 V6 and V8. Two-function halogen projector headlamps and LED DRLs are standard, while wheel sizes range from 17 inches to 20s. A dual panoramic solar power panel can optionally be fitted to the top three trims.
At 198.6 inches long, the 2022 Chrysler 300 is longer than the Mercedes-Benz E-Class but shorter than the S-Class. The other dimensions represent a sizable Chrysler footprint, at 75 inches wide and a wheelbase of 120 inches.
The height varies between 58.5 and 59.2 inches depending on the size of the wheels and whether the sedan is equipped with AWD or RWD. In terms of curb weight, the base 300 with a V6 and RWD engine clocks in at 4,013 pounds while under the guise of AWD, it weighs 4,267 lbs. The heaviest model is the V8 at 4,380 lbs.
- Length 198.6 inches
- Wheelbase 120.2 inches
- High 58.5 inches
- Max Width 75.0 in
- Front Width 63.4 inches
- Rear Width 63.8 inches
The 2022 Chrysler 300 has always been one of the best-looking full-size sedans sold since its inception and the same ethos carries over to the 2022 iterations as well. The neatly integrated LED DLR coupled with the squared front grille makes the car look quite impressive.
Even the side and rear profiles of the 2022 Chrysler 300 have an understated elegance that many of its competitors are missing. You can also take the 2022 Chrysler 300 further by choosing from the many optional packages such as the Sports Appearance Pack and the Chrome Appearance Pack, both of which can be obtained for $ 1,500.
The 2022 Chrysler 300 also comes in 9 different exterior color options, along with two optional wheel designs one of which is 20-inch Black Noise Aluminum wheels and the other is 20-inch Polished Aluminum wheels. You can also opt for BSW touring tires with optional 20-inch alloy wheels, which further enhance the driving comfort and overall appearance of this full-size sedan.
Being the widest and tallest in the full-size sedan segment, the 2022 Chrysler 300 looks quite impressive on the road. At the same time, it also offers the highest wheelbase of 120.2 inches, so that the inside is quite relieved.
The Dodge Charger 2022, which is also based on the Chrylser 300, offers the same proportions from the outside. However, both the Nissan Maxima 2022 and the Chevrolet Impala 2022 turned out to be the lightest in their segment, weighing 3,559 lbs and 3,867 lbs, respectively.
Some of the exterior features offered with the 2022 Chrysler 300 are:
- LED Daytime Running Lights
- Auto Headlights
- Rain Sensing Wiper
- Rear Spoiler with LED brake light
- The wheels measure 20 inches
- Blackened exterior with a Sports Appearance Package
- Front fog light
- Galvanized steel/aluminum panels
2022 Chrysler 300 Engine
The 2022 Chrysler 300 is expected to continue with two engine options including the Base model equipped with a 3.6-liter V6, capable of producing 292 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. It will be paired with Chrysler’s TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission and will go from zero to sixty in just over six seconds.
Since the engine specifications will not change from the previous model, this could be a disadvantage for buyers who won’t see anything new and exciting in the 2022 model.
The 2022 Chrysler 300 will also get an optional 5.7 liter V8 which will be good enough for oodles of power with an additional 71 horsepower. This will help it speed up the timing of sixty and a quarter miles, although this engine will be offered in higher trim levels. And it will also be mated to the same automatic 8-Speed TorqueFlite.
The Dodge Charger is a similar car with a similar setup to the 2022 Chrysler 300 but surprisingly the 300 is a tenth of a second faster than the Charger at 0-60 mph but loses to the Charger in a quarter-mile run.
The Chevrolet Impala is, for now, the most powerful car in comparison to and without the Chrysler delivering more power than the 2022 Chrysler 300. The Nissan Maxima is the winner here with 0-60 mph and the fastest quarter-mile time.
Chrysler will continue with two engine options. The standard 3.6 Liter Pentastar V6 engine produces 292 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque and the massive 5.7 Liter HEMI V8 engine produces 363 hp at 294 lb-ft of torque. The two power stations are mated to the highly efficient 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission system.
The TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission is very fast and extremely smooth shifting along with sequential gearshift control and multiple transmission modes. A full-time AWD system is also offered with all trims for an additional $ 3,000.
The best performance figures are given by the Chevrolet Impala which produces 305 hp and 264 lb-ft of torque. The 2022 Nissan Maxima also comes out to be slightly more powerful than the 2022 Chrysler 300, and that makes it faster off the line, hitting 60 MPH in a lower 5.8 seconds.
The Nissan Maxima was followed by the Chevrolet Impala in terms of 0-60 PH with a time of 6.1 seconds. The 2022 Chrysler 300 takes the third indirect acceleration time, followed by the Dodge Charger 2022 with 6.4 seconds.
The braking performance turned out to be the best for the Dodge Charger, requiring only 110 feet for a total stop of 60 MPH. This is followed by the 2022 Chrysler 300 at 120 feet, which is also quite a bit. In addition, the 2022 Chrysler 300 is more or less similar to the previous model in terms of overall driving dynamics.
While it is not the most fun to drive a sedan for this segment due to the soft suspension arrangement it offers, it is one of the most comfortable places as it can absorb all road irregularities with ease.
A large capacity engine without turbocharging is a sign of its 300s, but the power plant is delivering its power clean. The base 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine delivers 292 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, but this figure goes up to 300 hp / 264 lb-ft for the S V6.
The engine can be paired with RWD or AWD, while an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission is standard. The S V8 gets the 5.7 liter Hemi V8 with 363 hp and 394 lb-ft of power and also uses an eight-speed automatic.
Hemi’s lazy nature is reflected in its maximum engine speed of just 5,800 rpm, but in our review, it drives the massive sedan at an extremely fast speed and makes a pleasant roar when pushed. Passing slower, converged traffic on the highway is no homework for the big V8, and it is this engine that best fits the 300 because it quickly takes the sedan to its top legal speeds and then some.
The V6 is not bad but needs to work harder at higher speeds. Around town, it provided more than enough power. The transmission is a fast, motionless unit, only pausing a little longer than usual when hitting the gas heavily. Both S-badge derivatives are equipped with paddle shifters for drivers who prefer to take more control of the process.

2022 Chrysler 300 MPG
The 2022 Chrysler 300 is considered to offer a vehicle with a decent fuel efficiency within its range, and the numbers show so too. It also gives tough competition to the top in this segment. If we look at the 2022 Chrysler 300 figures it does 19 mpg in the city, 30 mpg on the highway, and 23 mpg combined. Since there won’t be any changes to the powertrain, we hope that these numbers will be like the ones you get on the 2022 Chrysler 300.
In terms of fuel efficiency, you can’t beat the Japanese with it, here also Nissan Altima won the title of the most fuel-efficient four-door sedan among its competitors. Meanwhile, the Chevy Impala disappoints with the lowest number of all. As for Dodge and Chrysler, because they both get the same powertrain, the fuel mileage is the same for both cars.
In terms of fuel, the 2022 Chrysler 300 offers a surprisingly decent combined efficiency of around 23 MPG despite its enormous weight and large engine under the hood. This full-size sedan also puts out a modest 19 MPG in the city along with an impressive 30 MPG on the road. Cars equipped with the optional AWD system will get 1 MPG lower in the combined gas mileage section.
The 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission does a fine job of keeping the engine at low revs, especially in ECO mode, which helps in churning out respectable fuel efficiency numbers. While we don’t have the official fuel mileage figures provided by the HEMI V8 motorbike, we hope this is quite a disappointment, as it offers substandard efficiency in other cars equipped with the same motor as the Charger.
Although the 2022 Chrysler 300 offers an excellent combined gas mileage of 23 MPG and a combined range of 425 miles, the Nissan Maxima 2022 manages to dethrone the 300 with a slightly better combined mileage of 24 MPG, which equates to a slightly higher tank range. 432 miles. However, the 2022 Chevrolet Impala comes out as the most fuel-efficient offering in its segment, with a fuel mileage of 22 MPG.
The large machine will ensure a fairly regular visit to the pump. Equipped with V6 and RWD, the 2022 Chrysler 300 returns the EPA figures with a rating of 19/30/23 mpg across city/highway / combined cycle. Those figures drop to 18/27/21 mpg when the AWD is added, but the heaviest gas model is the V8.
It will only manage 16/25/19 mpg. The 18.5-gallon gas tank applies to all derivatives, so a range of 300 in the city/highway driving mix will vary between 351 and 425 miles. In comparison, the most efficient non-hybrid Toyota Avalon can manage up to 25/34/28 mpg.

2022 Chrysler 300 Color
Chrysler offers a choice of six interior color schemes for the 300 sedans. These include Black, Black / Linen, Black / Smoke, and Black / Red Radar. However, your choice of trim will determine which interior colors are available. The base trim comes with cloth upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, while the Touring L is upgraded with Nappa leather seats.
On the S model, Nappa leather sports bucket seats are equipped. Further color schemes will be available at the end of the model year, including Deep Mocha and Indigo / Linen. On the bottom two trims, Charcoal wood hydrographic interior accents with Satin Chrome bezels are standard, while the 300S has Piano Black / Satin Chrome accents with Piano Black bezels.
Chrysler has provided nine exterior color options for the 300. These include soft colors like Bright White, Silver Mist, Granite Crystal Metallic, and stealthy Gloss Black, as well as the more outrageous Amethyst hues, Ocean Blue, Frostbite, Velvet Red, Canyon Sunset.
Neither of these colors will add anything to the bill, but we prefer the moody Gloss Black which stands in stark contrast to the car’s various chrome trimmings. Additionally, the sporty S model looks great in Bright White with darker wheels and grille. On that note, the S V6 and S V8 are limited to just six colors, with Frostbite, Ocean Blue, and Amethyst falling on these models.

2022 Chrysler 300 SRT8

2022 Chrysler 300 Price
As per the reports, we don’t have much information about the release date but production will start from mid-2022 or at best in the last quarter. The 2022 Chrysler 300 will be offered in 3 trims: Touring, Touring L, and S. Prices are likely to range from $ 35,000 (est) – $ 40,000 (est), which is unconfirmed. So, if you want to get a premium-looking sedan with many standard features, promising performance, decent reliability, and a spacious cabin, all at an affordable price, the new 2022 Chrysler 300 should be on your watchlist.
The 2022 Chrysler 300 really lags behind the pack in this area. As standard, none of the trims are equipped with the driver-assist technology one would expect from a modern sedan. At the Touring base, you get more basic safety gear like a rearview camera, electronic stability control, brake assistance, tire pressure monitoring, rain brake support, all-speed traction control, and ready-to-use warning braking.
The number of airbags includes front multi-stage airbags, side curtain airbags, and driver’s knee airbags, totaling six. In the top three trims, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross lane detection, and front / rear parking sensors are added.
Optional on this trim are forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane guard assistance, and adaptive cruise control. It would be nice to see features such as a head-up display and a surround-view camera on offer.
Years later, the 2022 Chrysler 300 has managed to stay relevant. With its strong V6 and V8 powertrains, bold styling, and comfortable interiors, it offers a refreshing old-school sedan experience in an era obsessed with SUVs. Enough space for all occupants, luggage large enough for everyone’s belongings, and an infotainment interface that still feels competitive even with the age of this sedan.
Once you remove the cool factor from the equation, the 300 starts falling behind rivals like the Kia Cadenza because it lacks a lot in terms of standard safety features, returns a lower than expected safety score, and is far from being a fuel vacuum. It’s also not the most agile big sedan. If you can live with these flaws, the 2022 Chrysler 300 has a lot of character and has to prove a satisfying prospect, but you win ‘
The 2022 Chrysler 300 will cost $ 30,445 for the Tour, excluding the $ 1,495 destination fee. That’s a $ 405 increase from last year’s model. Next is the Touring L with an MSRP of $ 33,620, followed by the S V6 at $ 37,395 and $ 41,395 for the S V8. These prices do not include taxes, permits, and registration fees. Opting for AWD on the two lower models will add $ 2,750 to the bill, but both S-derivatives can only be had with RWD.
All 2022 Chrysler 300 sedan trims miss a few key points, so it’s good that there are plenty of packages available to upgrade each trim. For Touring, there are fewer options available, but you can opt for the $ 995 Convenience Group Driver which adds 18-inch polished aluminum wheels to the RWD variant, remote start, LED fog lights upfront, and the convenience of a universal garage door opener.
This trim can also be made to look cuter through either the Chrome or Sport Appearance packages. These packages add 2022 Chrysler 300 mods like 20-inch wheels, but the Chrome Appearance Package’s brighter finish is swapped for the black exterior trim on the Sport Appearance Package. These plans cost $ 1,500 each but cannot be specified together.
In the top three trims, the Comfort Group adds ventilated seats, adaptive bi-xenon HID headlamps, heated rear seats, a power steering column, and a driver memory system, among other items. What’s unique about the S V6 is the S Model Appearance Package, which equips the sedan with premium fog lamps, a rear body-color spoiler, performance side frames, and a unique performance front fascia for $ 2,195.
One of the boxes we’ll be ticking is for the SafetyTech Plus Group (not available for Touring) which adds driver assistance such as adaptive cruise control, lane guard assistance, and full-speed forward collision warning. This goes for $ 2,395 at Touring L and $ 1,795 at S.

Reliability has never been a strong point for the 2022 Chrysler 300. The key fact is that the 2022 Chrysler 300 has a fuel-hungry 3.6L V6 at a time when its competitors are tight on performance and playing it safe. Well, if the V6 motorbike is too “boring” for you then the HEMI V8 will brighten things up.
But wanting this, the Chrylser 300 managed to score a decent 78 out of 100 in the JD Power report which placed it in the category average. Withdrawals are minimal but serious. The FCA is eager to improve on this and has done a great job too. Additionally, the 2022 Chrysler 300 provides a complete warranty package which includes:
- Basic Bumper to Bumper warranty 3 years / 36,000 miles
- Powertrain 5 years / 60,000 miles warranty
- Roadside assistance for 5 years / 60,000 miles
The 2022 Chrysler 300 will not be discontinued and the new 2022 model year will see some subtle changes to the luxury offering. There is speculation of a new generation for 2022 as well.
