2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Perfect Things

2022 Alfa Romeo: What We Know So Far!

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio The Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo has been creating a fairly well-known name over the last few years in the world of motorsports. And now, they want to target the mass market too and one of their main weapons for this is their Stelvio SUV. The 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio could get a minor facial update and possibly a hybrid option. Interior photos from the last sight (test car) reveal a new center console design with a slightly different look for the gearshift and a relocation button for the electronic parking brake, which is now next to the transmission lever.

Giulia and Stelvio haven’t lived up to Alfa Romeo’s expectations, especially when you consider parent company FCA spent $ 1 billion engineerings the Giorgio platform. With the fall of Giulietta and 4C not far behind, the well-known Italian brand is desperate for a new model to actually play in the big leagues alongside Germany.

For this reason, there is a lot to do in Tonale and it can be said that a compact crossover is not coming soon. Reviewed in conceptual form nearly two years ago, the new 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio model is getting closer as we hear the official launch of the production model will take place in September. Citing internal sources, Motor.es claims it will go on sale across Europe in November, with early adopters getting a limited Launch Edition.

The report goes on to say that Alfa Romeo dealers will start displaying the Tonale from February 2022 and that the crossover will inherit most of the designs. It is believed that approximately 90 percent of the showcar’s appearance is retained, with the most significant changes being the larger headlamps and side mirrors. In fact, pictures of the pre-production unit surfaced in October 2019, showing the road-going model in (almost) final form.

We won’t hold our breath to trim the Quadrifoglio as local reports suggest a performance version isn’t a priority as 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio fears it won’t attract enough buyers. Tonale allegedly borrowed the engine from the Jeep Renegade and will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain that is rated at around 250 horsepower.

The Tonale isn’t the only new crossover on Alfa Romeo’s agenda, as the subcompact model that would be called the Brennero is expected to arrive in 2022 as a sister model to the next-gen Fiat 500X and of the Jeep Renegade.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Review: New Stelvio 2022

Stelvio 2022 On sale since 2017, the 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Stelvio is gearing up for its first mid-life update. Reportedly, Alfa’s first SUV will also get a light hybrid technology, but nothing has been confirmed so far. Alfa Romeo is also expected to give Stelvio a facelift a digital instrument cluster as an option. An update to the infotainment system should also be on the card.

If the output remains the same, the Stelvio will return a mileage figure of 22/29/25 mpg on the city/highway / combined cycle in the guise of RWD and slightly lower 22/28/24 mpg when equipped with the AWD.

The 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Stelvio provides the fuel economy rating buyers expect for a sporty luxury SUV, not higher or lower.

Fill up the 16.9-gallon gas tank, and you’ll be able to see the driving distance of about 422 miles. The BMW X3 30i RWD, by comparison, gets a combined 27 mpg and will be able to travel about 34 miles farther on the same amount of fuel.

Is The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Reliable

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio performed well in our 2020 Driver Power survey. It completed ninth overall of the 30 brands surveyed. Owners like the look and way of driving their cars, but reliability appears to be a downside – around 28.6% of Alfa owners reported at least one error in their first year of ownership.

Is The Alfa Romeo Stelvio A Good Car

Yes, the 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio is a good SUV. Performance is its calling card, as it has an energetic base engine, excellent handling, and a smooth ride. There are also high-performance Quadrifoglio models with incredible strength. … The interior space and quality is what Stelvio lacks

Alfa Romeo Stelvio Facelift 2022

Restyling time for the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the first SUV from the Arese-based automaker which in 2022 should enjoy a new version, the result of several stylistic innovations that will remember the language seen in the Tonale concept car.

The controversial model Biscione, which made its debut in the form of a show car in 2019 and which will be produced at the Pomigliano d’Arco in early September, although not yet showing itself in its final version, already offers many ideas. for the Stelvio facelift.

Starting from the front, as shown in the render released by Autobild.es, where Alfa Romeo Stelvio’s hypothetical styling changes reveal a revised front, with a new full-LED optical group with a sharper and longer shape and a larger grid.

It is possible that action was also carried out on the air intakes at the bottom of the bumper. But on the back, there is no special news yet, with this SUV facelift from Arese that will not interfere with the identity and soul of a model who, although not achieving the desired results, has allowed 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio to remain on the waterlines especially in the US market.

The most important innovations are precisely under the skin, both in the passenger compartment, perhaps with the integral digital dashboard and with other ADAS introductions, and from an engine offering point of view.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio’s new line of engines should be mostly electrified, with light hybrids dominating the Italian SUV restyling offering. The 48 Volt mild hybrid system must be borrowed from the Maserati Ghibli Hybrid and offers a configuration with a total power of 330 hp and a maximum torque of 450 nm.

Hybridization will keep it possible to stay focused on performance, with the new Ghibli Hybrid ensuring sprints from 0 to 100 km / h in just 5.7 seconds. The Alfa Romeo Stelvio remodeling must take place in early 2021, to be available at dealerships the following year.

The name chosen to christen the new 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio model indicates that this model aims to offer a unique driving experience. Stelvio is the highest mountain pass in Italy. Inside the 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, there is a new ‘Alfa DNA’ driving mode selector, which changes the dynamic behavior of the car according to the needs of the driver: ‘Dynamic’, ‘Natural’ and ‘Forward’. Dynamic mode features set performance and behavior. Steering response is more precise, braking faster and electronic control system does not interfere with sporty driving pleasure.

Natural mode is ideal for urban settings and quiet road trips. In this mode, the handling adjusts to offer maximum comfort. Finally, the advanced mode maximizes fuel economy and minimizes emission levels.

Alfa Romeo Stelvio Restyling 2022

Italian design at its best, 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio is the perfect blend of experience, speed and beauty. This magical alchemy is part of brand history. Achieving this combination involves combining three main ingredients in Alfa Romeo’s design: proportion, simplicity and high quality.

These same ingredients have given us the Alfa Romeo Giulia, a new reference for the manufacturer and future pioneers of the brand. These materials have been extensively reworked to fit a completely different concept: a sports vehicle.

The 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio exterior proportions, with a modest length of 4.68 meters, 167 centimeters high and 2.16 meters wide, express strength, dynamism and compactness. The side view emphasizes this impression, with an outline suggesting a compact car, starting from the front and extending further towards the rear.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio style is also seen in the Stelvio on high-quality surfaces, where the light elegantly draws in the different volumes that make up the whole. The end result is a very vibrant and careful body line that, on the sides and ends, creates a strong contrast. Thanks to the muscles and muscles on this side of the new Stelvio, the Italian design department accentuates its front and rear tracks.

To underline the beauty of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, consumers can choose from thirteen body colors (pastel, metallic and three layers) that accentuate the elegant silhouette of this SUV from 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio.

New Alfa Romeo Stelvio 2022

Design, engineering and technology are the foundation of the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio. As tradition demands, your true identity comes from the soul under the hood. Among the 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio engines, there are several mechanical possibilities, both in diesel and petrol versions.

The petrol section stars the propellant, made entirely of aluminum, with four cylinders with a turbocharger and two power strokes: 200 and 280 hp (here you can see Alfa Romeo Stelvio’s testing with the second engine).

This next generation engine combines excellent performance and fuel efficiency. Both are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and the ‘Q4’ all-wheel drive system.

The range is equipped with a new diesel engine, also four cylinders and a turbocharger. Both use a 2.2 liter engine and are available with 180 and 210 hp. Both complement an eight-speed automatic transmission, although the lower power is only available with rear-wheel drive.

The most powerful diesel variant of the 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio is associated with ‘Q4’ all-wheel drive. This system makes it possible to maintain the character of the rear wheel drive vehicle, sending up to 50% torque to the front wheels when required.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Specs

More love from our favorite Italian four-door sedans and compact SUVs. If you’re looking for the new Alfa Romeo Giulia or Stelvio, we have great news. For 2021, Alfa Romeo reveals a light restructuring of standard trim and content across the lineup, with new colors being applied to measure. Let’s have a look.

Whereas previously there were seven different versions for the Giulia sedan and the Stelvio SUV, now there are only four, with a base trim evocatively named “Sprint” for both; the Sport and Ti Lusso versions were dropped from the hierarchy. In addition to the Sprint, buyers have a choice of 505bhp Ti, Ti Sport, and Quadrifoglio iterations on the crossover and sedan.

If you slip into the Stelvio Ti or Giulia Ti, you’ll find the standard dual-panel sunroof and an 8.8-inch infotainment screen. Ti Sports combines the standard limited-slip differential and darkened tailpipes, and the Stelvio Ti Sport sports a more aggressive rear diffuser and 20-inch wheels, with new 21-inch wheels now optional on the Stelvio Ti and Ti Sport.

Regardless of whether you opt for the Stelvio or Giulia, the Ti trim is available with the feature-oriented but currently, undetermined Lusso package which may bring the Ti to specs with the now discontinued Ti Lusso adding smoother upholstery and trim. Finally, the same unexplained Carbon Package for the Ti Sport is likely to add some carbon fiber trim and tinsel.

After choosing a trim, you have four dramatically named new colors to choose from, including Ocra GT Junior, Rosso GTA, Rosso Villa d’Este, and Verde Montreal.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio White

The 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio is an all-wheel-drive crossover SUV with a sporty flair. Stelvio faces top rivals such as the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, and the Porsche Macan.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio White Color

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio is simplifying the Stelvio lineup for 2022 with Sprint, Ti, Ti Sport, and Quadrifoglio models. Alfa adds more equipment to various models and randomizes what safety features are available in which packages.

Stelvio shares his running gear with the Giulia sedan. The result is a raised sports sedan with a sexy look, nimble movement, and a curved crossover body that flows from the Alfa’s triangular nose. Inside, the curved dashboard is accented by sporty elements such as a flat-bottom steering wheel with a start button.

The cabin is devoid of space as most of its competitors, with short rear-seat legroom and small but useful cargo space. An 8.8-inch touch screen is standard and can be controlled with the dial.

Strength starts strong and passes to hoarse. The base 2.0 liter turbo-4 performs well with the 8-speed automatic transmission to provide ready power from a stopping position. The 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 sourced from the Ferrari Quadrifoglio raises the axle to 505 hp and delivers 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 176 mph. The model with the base engine can get a combined 25 mpg, while the Quadrifoglio only offers a combined 19 mpg.

The robust platform, fast ratio steering, and relatively short wheelbase create an agile crossover. We don’t like the wood feel of the brakes, and the Quadrifoglio can go too fast.

The most striking element of Stelvio’s design is the triangular grid which Alfa calls “scudetto”, which is Italian for shield. The front is a sporty curved surface, broken down by high set cat’s-eye headlights and set low air intakes. The sides accentuate the rounded hamstrings over the wheels and a character outline that extends from front to back to create the impression of forwarding movement. The rear is simple, with eye-slit taillights, a rounded built-in spoiler, and dual exhausts.

The sporty cabin features a flat-bottom steering wheel with a red Ferrari-like start button. The dashboard takes on a curved theme, punctuated by round air vents at the corners and round gauges.

The Stelvio comes standard with rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive is optional.

Stelvio started fast and was getting faster. The 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine produces 280 hp and 306 lb-ft of torque to launch the SUV from 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds en route to a top speed of 144 mph. Strong power at the lower end and 8-speed automatic transmission provides sharp and smooth shifting.

Choose the Stelvio Quadrifoglio and you will have a tracking machine. The 2.9-liter V-6 twin-turbo engine puts out 505 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque to cut the 0-60 mph time to 3.6 seconds while emitting deep growls and barks.

Stelvio also reacts quickly when cornering. Superfast 12: 1 steering ratio sends the front end diving into the turn and the rear end follows with force thanks to the robust structure, ideal 50/50 front / rear weight balance, and short wheelbase. Slender body, but well controlled. The available torque vector rear differential sends power more efficiently to the curb so that the Stelvio can slide out of the turn.

The Stelvio Quadrifoglio also adds wide tires, adaptive damping, additional cooling, and larger brakes to provide trackability, which is further enhanced by the available carbon-ceramic brakes.

The Stelvio has brake technology with wires and the pedals actually squeeze the block to act as a stopper. It takes time to learn how to modulate the brake pedal, which always has a wooden feel.

The DNA drive mode selector has Dynamic, Natural, All-Weather mode, and, in Quadrifoglio, Race mode. Natural works to drive every day, while Dynamic and Race speed up the reaction.

The 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio may be an SUV, but its relationship with Giulia jeopardizes its rear-seat space. We award points for the front seat and supportive cargo space, but remove points for discounted airline rear-seat legroom, bringing the total to 6.

True to Stelvio’s sportiness, it comes with a sport front seat that hugs the passenger in the right way, and the Quadrifoglio model’s seat is even more supportive.

However, the rear seats only have 31.9 inches of legroom, which is about the same as what you get on most airline bus seats. At least enough headroom and enough hip room to fit three people in an emergency.

Cargo space is also on the small side with 18.5 cubic feet behind the second row, and that extends to 56.5 cubic feet with the rear seats tucked down.

Afla Romeo equips the Stelvio cabin with materials that match the price. Leather upholstery is standard, the Quadrifoglio gets an additional leather surface, and the dial and switchgear feel solid.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Ti

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Ti Sport, The highlight of last year’s Alfa Romeo Stelvio lineup was the updated infotainment system. That’s because even the best Quadrifoglio models don’t even get a power boost.

Now, for the 2021 model, the premium Italian car brand has more significant innovations for its SUV in the form of a new middle class.

It was the Stelvio Veloce Ti, which joined the 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio lineup for the first time, positioned between the regular Stelvio and Stelvio QV models.

This model differs from the standard Stelvio, with its signature Alfa-designed black 21-inch alloy wheels. According to the automaker, the theme will be available for other trim levels in the future.

Inside the cabin, there are more visual changes. These include an aluminum gearshift lever, sport seats wrapped in a mixture of leather and Alcantara, black headlining, and decorative carbon fiber accents.

Further touches can be found around the window panes, window tints, and exterior badges.

The powerhouse of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Veloce Ti is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing a peak output of 280 horsepower (209 kilowatts).

Mated to an eight-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox, the four-cylinder unit with a carbon fiber driveshaft sends power to all four wheels via the Alfa AWD Q4 system.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio will announce more feature enhancements for the Stelvio and Giulia models in January 2021, when they release additional details.

Both SUVs and sedans will benefit from an engine line that meets Euro 6d-final emission standards, plus the full range of Alfa Connect Services as standard or optional.

As a reminder, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio QV is equipped with a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 505 horsepower (377 kW).

The hot high-riding model can now be flavored with several components developed by Mopar and is available as a factory upgrade.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio

A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is expected to be present in every Stelvio in addition to the high-performance Quadrifoglio model, which uses a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine capable of producing up to 505 hp. The four-cylinder model produces 280 hp and 306 lb-ft flowing through an 8-speed automatic transmission with available paddle shift and completes a 0-60 spin-in 5.4 seconds.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio

All models are equipped with all-wheel drive, except for the base Stelvio and Stelvio Sport, which are also available with rear-wheel drive. The driver can change the driving character of Stelvio via the DNA drive mode selector.

DNA stands for Dynamic, Natural, and All-Weather. Go for Natural, and Stelvio is happy to set sail. Go for the Dynamic or especially the Race, and it’s full of ready-made energy.

The ultimate level of grip is no higher than the X3 or the GLC, but the way the Alfa makes drivers feel connected to the experience remains one of its strengths.

The 0-60 mph time speculation put Stelvio half a second ahead of some heavy hitters. The Stelvio is all-wheel-drive and equipped with downhill controls, but it’s meant to be driven on the highway. For starters, there aren’t many permits, and there isn’t an all-terrain mode like some SUV competitors have.

The 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio benefits from SUV design space, but little in terms of cargo space and rear-seat legroom. All Stelvio models can accommodate five passengers, with a legroom of 36.6 inches at the front and 31.9 inches at the rear.

Cargo volume measures 18.5 cubic feet behind the rear seats or 56.5 cubic feet with the seats folded. The figures for the BMW X3 are 28.7 and 62.7 cubic feet, and the others have more room.

It featured the first row supported bucket seats that became too tight on the Quadrifoglio. However, headroom and legroom are available in abundance. The biggest drawback is the low visibility due to the thick roof pillars. The rear quarter view over the shoulder, in particular, is obstructed, and the view through the small rear window is restricted.

Despite sporting genuine metal trim, smart leather seats, and sporty styling, the Stelvio cabin still lacks the rigidity seen in the Audi Q5, BMW X3, and Mercedes-Benz GLC. Rear seat legroom is what Airlines allow in economy class, and more than four inches less than the next competitor. Adults will fit in, but they will not be happy. The back seat is better for children.

All Stelvio models get a standard 8.8-inch central touchscreen display and a redesigned seven-inch instrument cluster for important driver information. Alfa may still use the handy rotary controller on the center console; Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration are standard. The infotainment system is easy to use, but it will undoubtedly fall behind when compared to the opposition.

There are no crashworthiness reviews available yet for the Stelvio from IIHS. However, if the Giulia sedan is the best choice, the Stelvio must perform well – Giulia achieved a Good rating based on all IIHS crash eligibility tests. Unfortunately, the NHTSA also doesn’t have a safety rating for the sedan.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio introduces a variety of new active safety features. They include blind-spot monitors, active lane control, traffic sign recognition, intelligent speed control that changes speed when the speed limit changes, and driver attention monitors.

Also available is adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, front parking assistance (rear parking assistance is standard), and lane departure alerts. Some of these features are standard on the Quadrifoglio, and they are all available in various driver assistance packages.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Exterior

The curvy Stelvio retains the charm inherent in the marque sedan. The traditional V-shaped Scudetto grille takes center stage, flanked by long, slender headlights. 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio has a history of building artistic cars. It is clear that this Italian SUV is more about “sport” than “utility”.

The back is also not boxy like other SUVs. The angles drop sharply, giving it a sport wagon rather than an SUV. The wide fender flares and wheels add to the sporty look.

Longer and taller than the Mercedes-Benz GLC, the Stelvio is a relatively thick SUV, although the shorter 110.9-inch wheelbase may explain why the Alfa isn’t too tall there.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Interior

The sporty inspiration of the exterior also guides the pen of 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio designers, who have created the interior with simple and elegant lines for the new Stelvio SUV. This interior aims to offer the best in terms of quality, safety, equipment and comfort. There is a very relevant detail in the design of the Alfa Romeo: everything is focused on the driver.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Interior

This important approach is reflected in the grouping of all controls on the steering wheel or dashboard orientation. Also noteworthy in this regard is the display screen (3.5 “or 7” depending on equipment) which provides all important information for the driver.

Another detail that reveals the centrality that exists in the 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio is through two rotary controls of the ‘Alfa DNA’ driving mode selector and the ‘Alfa Connect’ multimedia system.

The cabin of the new Alfa Romeo SUV has been tailor-made for the driver and passenger, with meticulous craftsmanship and premium materials. The aluminum, wood, leather or fabric that you can complement has been chosen for its visual appeal and because it is pleasing to the touch. These ingredients are combined in the 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio to give a clear impression of quality and knowledge.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio benefits from a designer SUV space, but little in terms of cargo space and rear legroom. All Stelvio models can accommodate five passengers, with 36.6-inch front and 31.9-inch rear legroom.

The biggest drawback is poor visibility due to the thick roof pillars. The rear quarter view over the shoulder, in particular, is obstructed, and the view through the small rear window is restricted.

Despite genuine metal trim, sleek leather seats, and sporty styling, Stelvio’s cabin still lacks the stiffness of the Audi Q5, BMW X3, and Mercedes-Benz GLC. Rear seat legroom is what airlines allow in economy class, and more than four inches less than the next competitor. The adults will fit in, but they will not be happy. Alfa can still use the practical rotary controller on the center console; Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration are standard. The infotainment system is easy to use, but it will undoubtedly fall behind the opposition.

The 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, in its basic version, brings with it a unique and unmistakable proportion, style, elegance and identity. In this version of Quadrifoglio, things get extreme and even more exciting.

This is a high-performance SUV where exterior styling and design are not merely aesthetic details, but complement important factors such as aerodynamics, speed, power and driving pleasure.

This is evident in details such as the hood, with openings to allow air to pass from the inside to the outside of the engine compartment; in the side air intakes for cooling the intercooler; in sports aprons and in pronounced wheel arches or in four exhaust pipes.

In addition, the interior of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio has been matched with the suit, with artisanal care and high quality materials evidenced by the use of carbon fiber, leather and Alcantara.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Red Interior

There are several other compact crossovers, but none as enticing as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio 2022. Fortunately, this Italian beauty is as fun to ride as her curvy body, which earned her the Editor’s Choice award. 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio supplies the most vibrant Stelvio (rest of the lineup reviewed separately) with a 505 hp twin-turbo V-6 swinging from the stops and singing at WOT (read: throttle wide open).

It’s worth mentioning that Alfa is known for its reliability issues. However, the alluring six-pot sends power to all the wheels via a discreet eight-speed automatic that slides with a protruding column-mounted paddle.

Find a winding mountain pass – as Stelvio is named – and the Quadrifoglio (abbreviated as QF) will feature surprising athleticism and deep control. Indeed, the interior volume of the Stelvio QF 2022 is smaller and the price is higher than that of luxury competitors, but its attractiveness and exclusivity are more noticeable.

The Stelvio QF enters the 2022 model year with fresh exterior colors and new wheel size options. The first includes four colors: Ocra GT Junior, Rosso GTA, Rosso Villa d’Este, and Verde Montreal. The latter is a new optional set of 21-inch aluminum rims with an Alfa five-hole design that can be crafted in dark or silver.

The 505-hp Stelvio Quadrifoglio is more expensive than the 503-hp version of the BMW X3 M and the 503-hp Mercedes-AMG GLC63 S coupe. However, the extra coins reward the buyer with the best-looking SUV in its class and exclusivity made in Italy Alfa. The version we chose would ignore the optional Sparco racing seat due to its tight quality and lack of a heating element.

However, we will add a Carbon package that dresses the exterior mirrors, V-shaped grille, and steering wheel in carbon fiber and includes a leather-wrapped shift knob. We’ll also choose the Premium and Active Assist 2 packages which together feature a 115-volt outlet, heated rear seat, wireless charging, and a host of driver assistance (adaptive cruise control, auto high beam, blind-spot monitoring, lane guard assistance, etc.).

The single-engine is a hypnotic 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 that produces 505 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. It pairs exclusively with a paddle-moved eight-speed automatic transmission that transmits power to all four wheels. One version we tested rocketed from zero to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds, making it one of the fastest SUVs we have tested.

The most impressive feature of this hot crossover – along with its stunning body – is the smooth chassis that it drives as well. when turning. A standard set of adaptive dampers lets you choose a ride speed, but only the bumpiest roads reduce ride quality. Otherwise, the Stelvio QF turns with great composure and rewards the driver with communicative steering feedback.

The sticky performance tires and sturdy brakes on our test vehicle helped carry the QF from 70 mph to zero over a distance of 157 feet, a performance befitting a sports car’s performance.

The EPA estimates the 2022 Stelvio Quadrifoglio will get 17 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. Those numbers are slightly higher than the equally powerful AMG GLC63 S (15 mpg city / 22 highway) and much better than the X3 M (14 mpg city / 19 highway). The last Stelvio QF we ran on a fuel-efficient 75 mph highway route – part of our extensive testing regimen – fell short of expectations with a 21 mpg result.

The interior of the Stelvio QF has some drawbacks to build quality, but its leather-upholstered and stitched surfaces contrast much better than the materials found on the regular Stelvio. The supportive QF front seat, near-perfect driving position, and large column-mounted paddle shifters ensure the driver never feels too far from the racetrack.

It also has many of the standard features desired such as the 14-way adjustable power front seats, ambient interior lighting, heated steering wheel and front seat cushions, and more. The Stelvio has comfortable rear seats, but mediocre cubby interior headroom and storage. However, we managed to fit eight carry-on suitcases behind the back row and 11 other bags with the seats folded.

Each QF includes an 8.8-inch touchscreen that also operates via a handy rotary controller in the center console. It includes standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration; Wi-Fi hotspot and cordless phone charging pad are optional.

The infotainment system features sharp graphics, intuitive menus, and customizable layouts. Unfortunately, some icons and information are difficult to see and some navigation instructions are delayed. Audiophiles will appreciate the standard Stelvio 12-speaker, 900-watt Harman / Kardon audio system.\

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Engine

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is the sportiest model in the range. Thanks to its impressive design and spectacular performance that you can see in our Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio testing, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is a benchmark in the premium SUV segment. Currently, this SUV is the fastest SUV in its category, having set a class record at the iconic Nürburgring with a time of seven minutes 51.7 seconds.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Engine Specs

The reason is in the heart that moves the whole. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio is equipped with an exclusive 2.9 V6 Bi-Turbo petrol engine, made of aluminum, which receives technology and technical know-how in engineering from Ferrari. It develops a maximum power of 510 hp and a maximum torque of 600 Nm between 2500 and 5000 revolutions.

In addition, this engine is associated with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to special calibration, the automatic transmission allows you to change gears in just 150 milliseconds in ‘Race’ driving mode. Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 283 km / hour.

The Stelvio Quadrifoglio transmission is combined with the innovative ‘Q4’ all-wheel drive system. It guarantees excellent performance, traction, driving pleasure and safety in any situation. Under normal conditions, the system transfers 100% of engine torque to the rear axle. As the wheels approach their grip limits, the system sends up to 50% to the front axle in real-time, via the active transfer box.

In keeping with Alfa Romeo tradition, electronic assistance should not be distracting, but sufficient to facilitate the driving experience. The 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio confirms this philosophy but still offers many advanced systems to make the driving experience even better.

This vehicle is the only SUV in its class to provide the ‘Alfa Active Torque Vectoring’ differential as standard. This technology accentuates its sporty character. It has two electronically controlled clutches in the rear differential that allow you to control torque delivery to each wheel independently.

This ensures optimal power transfer to the tarmac, even when the car is being pushed to its dynamic limits. This makes the Stelvio safe and fun to drive at all times, without taking the hassle out of using stability control.

The sinuous Stelvio retains the intrinsic charm of the branded sedan. The traditional Scudetto, V-shaped grille, takes center stage, flanked by long, thin headlights. 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio has a past in building artistic cars. It is clear that this Italian SUV speaks more of “sport” than of “utility”.

The rear is also not square like other SUVs. Corners drop sharply, which gives it a sport wagon rather than an SUV. The large fenders and wheels add to the sporty look.

Longer and taller than the Mercedes-Benz GLC, the Stelvio is a relatively thick SUV, although the shorter wheelbase of 110.9 inches could explain why the Alfa isn’t too big.

2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Price

As expected, pricing was also revised, with only a slight increase compared to the 2020 model year. Giulia Sprint starts at $ 40,745, and the Stelvio equivalent opens at $ 43,045.

All-wheel drive is standard on the Stelvio Ti, Ti Sport, and Quadrifoglio, while it’s a $ 2,000 premium for all Giulia except for the rear-only Giulia Quadrifoglio. If this sounds fine and dandy, head over to your local Alfa dealer, where the automaker says an updated lineup should already be on the showroom floor.
