This setup is equipped with a standard six-speed automatic transmission, with front or all-wheel drive options depending on the trim.
The basic LX model comes standard with FWD, but also offers Kia’s Active All-Wheel-Drive system – which uses a center locking differential to evenly distribute power – as an option.
The EX and SX-Prestige models, on the other hand, have standard power on all four of their wheels.
Moving into the cabin section, the new Kia Sportage Hybrid adopts almost all the same features as the standard gasoline model.
A 12.3-inch touchscreen adorns the center console, with Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto offered at no extra cost.
The touch screen is coupled with a 12.3-inch aligned digital instrument cluster.

There are also neat touch-sensitive controls under the infotainment interface that alternate between the climate system and stereo. An upgraded Harman/Kardon unit is available as well as a subscription-based cordless phone charger and Wi-Fi hotspot.

The introduction of rugged-looking trim like the X-Line gives it a compact off-road feel, but the X-Pro actually has a few tools to help with the rough stuff. This car uses 17-inch black rims and all-terrain tires, and is equipped with a choice of driving modes.
