The New Sneak Peek 2023 Kia Telluride Preview

2023 Kia Telluride mid-size SUV is back and better than ever

2023 Kia Telluride Last year, the 2022 Kia Telluride parted ways with a three-row midsize crossover of unmatched aesthetics, luxury, and value. Of course, even the greatest Kiases fulfill their main mission perfectly, which is to comfortably transport their families and cargo.

With its rugged exterior and luxurious interior, the 2023 Kia Telluride will look great in any Land Rover showroom, along with standard active safety features. Each model has a robust infotainment system and the top trim offers luxuries like ventilated rear seats at a very affordable price.

While this luxury car isn’t particularly exciting to drive, and the 291bhp V6 isn’t particularly fuel-efficient, the ride is refined and the body roll is controlled. It can also easily tow 5,000-pound trailers and all-wheel-drive models. overcame rough terrain with ease, and the Telluride 2022 is just another gold standard in its segment.

Kia plans to update its Telluride SUV with a mid-life restyling, which is expected to debut in mid-2022 as the 2023 Kia Telluride model was first introduced in 2019, based on the Telluride Concept launched in 2016.

Earlier this year, the SUV was updated to the 2022 model, gaining additional standard equipment in several trim levels. However, the South Korean automaker plans to update the 2023 Kia Telluride again, this time with a mid-life makeover.

The 2023 Kia Telluride has been Edmunds’ top-rated SUV for the second year in a row. This midsize three-row SUV can accommodate up to eight and is the largest in the Kia lineup. Our editors have praised the Telluride for its smooth ride quality, luxury-like interior, and a third row that can comfortably accommodate adults. It is also equipped with many standard features and has the latest safety technology.

For 2022, you will notice some minor differences in the 2023 Kia Telluride badge. Kia has redesigned its logo and the 2023 Kia Telluride badge on the back features a different font and wider spacing. All models now come standard with a 10.25-inch display that includes navigation, plus automatic climate control.

Spy images of the upcoming 2023 Kia Telluride facelift recently surfaced online, wearing bold camouflage. A few design details look past it, giving us some hints about changes to the exterior design. Using these limited details and a little imagination, artist Nikita Chuiko has digitally created the upcoming SUV model.

2023 Kia Telluride Preview

Despite the many 2023 Kia Telluride Changes, overall it won’t be radically different. Kia is one of our favorite automakers right now, and we’re not alone. The company is having a best-selling year and we expect popularity to increase only if spy photos of mid-engined sports cars show what we expect from a new product offering from the Korean automaker.

While we’re on the subject of the spy photo, we’ve just stumbled upon the next video of a 2023 Kia Telluride parked under a pile of camouflage canvas, luckily there’s still some detail we can glean from the photo.

Here we see that the front of the vehicle has been revised, with redesigned LED headlights and a new grille, which still retains the distinctive tiger face design, with chrome slats on the top and bottom, and we also see the new Kia logo on the front. . the top, nose section, front bumper have also been updated and will have fake silver skid plates underneath.

The side profile of the SUV remains almost unchanged, but some modifications are planned at the rear: the taillight unit will probably retain the same shape as the current model, but with updated lighting elements.

The rear bumper has also been redesigned, with updated parking lights and fog lamps. A faux skid plate is also present on the rear bumper, which adds a rustic touch to the overall design. The tailgate features an updated Kia logo, as well as a bold “Telluride” badge.

The design of the final production model probably won’t be much different from this digitally rendered version.

Currently, the 2023 Kia Telluride is powered by a 3.8-liter V6 petrol engine, producing peak horsepower and torque of 295 hp and 355 Nm, respectively. Transmission options are limited to one – an 8-speed automatic transmission. standard front wheel. drive system and standard all-wheel-drive system.

We don’t expect the SUV to have a powertrain change The restyling 2023 Kia Telluride is expected to debut in the middle of next year and will hit the US market in late 2022 or early 2023.

2023 Kia Telluride Rendering Refresh

2023 Kia Telluride Redesign It’s set to be more of a facelift than a full refresh, but there are still plenty of chances. At the front, we see that the headlights will lose the round LED running lights accents which will be replaced by two oval accents per headlight cluster. Obviously, the redesigned 2021 model’s grille with the new Kia logo won’t change much, although it may be a bit slimmer.

The lower grille is also unlikely to get a radical redesign, but we’ll have to wait for a more revealing image to the surface before we can make confident calls about it.

At the rear, the lower fog lamps and reverse cluster have also been revamped, and we expect the taillight cluster to be slightly overhauled as well. Inside, the dashboard is completely covered, but the upholstery looks lush and the three-row layout is retained.

With the 2023 Kia Telluriderecently undergoing a design overhaul, this refresh might seem a little unnecessary, but we won’t complain. We don’t expect any changes to the existing engine, but as is usually the case these days, we wouldn’t be surprised if we came across photos of the prototype sporting a warning sticker to show the hybrid powertrain being electrified. We will report once we know more.

The 2023 Kia Telluride Facelift is shown after the spy video appeared. Small but smart change. The

The 2023 Kia Telluride is one of Kia’s hottest models in North America, where SUVs sell for very decent numbers. The facelift is more complete and is currently in the works for the 2023 model year. Now, a few months before its official debut, we have an idea. which is great for its appearance.

Earlier this week, we took a look at the Telluride 2023 test prototype in South Korea and it was used by our friends at Kolesa.ru as the basis for the rendering you see in the gallery below. They drew what we believe to be a fairly accurate picture of the new SUV unveiling small but important changes to the rear and front.

Given 2023 Kia Telluride’s good market results, we didn’t expect this facelift to bring about a major visual revision. Instead, Kia will likely tweak the front fascia slightly by changing the internal graphics of the headlights, as well as the radiator grille pattern to give it a more prominent shape. Additionally, the LED headlights integrated into the current model’s bumper may disappear with a facelift.

At the rear, a test prototype from earlier this month suggested there would be slight modifications to the taillights. Depending on the trim level, there could be other changes, though the camouflage doesn’t allow us to see much more for now. We expect to start seeing less-disguised test cars shortly.

The 2023 Kia Telluride is still a relatively new model on the market and with a refresh from June this year, we don’t expect to see the 2023 model before the first months of next year. Sure, the domestic market model could appear before the end of 2022, but the US model won’t arrive so soon.

2023 Kia Telluride Facelift Spied

2023 Kia Telluride Facelift Spying For The First Time. The midsize SUV is captured inside and out. A little over a month ago, Kia unveiled the 2022 Telluride with a slick new company logo and slightly more standard equipment.

For bigger changes, you’ll have to wait until the model year 2023, provided the revamped version is introduced within the next 12 months. Meanwhile, a heavily camouflaged mid-size SUV prototype has been captured up close and personal at home in South Korea.

Although the 2023 Kia Telluride has only been out for a few years and is selling well, Kia is in a bit of a rush to ship its best-selling SUV to North America. 2022. as well as the presentation he made to investors.

The bold coverage of it might lead you to believe 2023 Kia Telluride is going through a complete makeover, but we’re inclined to believe it’s going to be a typical mid-cycle makeover. After all, why spoil the winning recipe? Looking through the camouflage mesh, the headlights and taillights are redesigned with new graphics while maintaining the same shape as the beams.

Kia has redesigned the grille for the 2022 model year and it looks like the so-called tiger-nose gets another new design, with vertical elements to replace Telluride’s current mesh setup.

However, these changes may be limited to certain trim levels and may not be adopted by all popular SUV variants. A slightly modified bumper should complement the changes to the exterior.

The spy video also gives us a chance to peek inside the predominantly white cabin where everything except the dashboard is on display.

We’re not holding our breath for big changes inside, especially since the Telluride 2022 already has a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen for infotainment from stock.

Given that Kia overhauled the SUV in June and this is only our first look at the revamped model, it doesn’t look like there will be an official premiere any time soon.

The revised 2023 Kia Telluride could debut in the home market later this year, but an American-spec model is likely to be released at some point in 2022.

2023 Kia Telluride New Grill

Kia Telluride 2022 Comes with New Grille, More Equipment. The price is definitely more expensive. On June 14, there were leaked images that claimed to show a 2022 Kia Telluride with a new grille. The photos also come with some “insider” information, which basically refers to more of the standard equipment for the popular SUV.

Kia was reluctant to confirm, but it may well be the catalyst in an unexpected debut for the 2022 Telluride. For starters, don’t call this a facelift. Yes, the 2023 Kia Telluride looks different for the 2022 model year. However, as previous leaks have suggested, the visual changes are limited to the grille.

There is an update to the Kia logo which is already widely known. However, the highlight here is the slightly redesigned grille. Kia didn’t say specifically how, but we do know it adopts a more mesh design.

The car will be clad in black for the entire lineup, though some of the lighter trim touches will stick around – except for the Nightfall Edition. The bigger news is inside, though it’s still not very significant.

The greenhouse remains unchanged, but you’ll find more standard equipment at lower trim levels. A larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen is present on the 2023 Kia Telluride LX and S variants, as is automatic climate control and on-road driving assistance.

All trims will get Kia’s navigation-based smart cruise technology. What has been revealed so far is in line with the leaked information. However, we now have a price estimate as a compliment.

As one might expect, more standard equipment means the price tag will also move up – though not a huge spike. The entry-level 2023 Kia Telluride LX starts at $32,790, an increase of $600 from the 2021 model year.

Likewise, in 2023 Kia Telluride S, rose 600 US dollars to 35,290 US dollars (Rp506.7 million). The EX and SX only saw an increase of US$200, to US$37,790 (Rp542.4 million) and US$42,690 (Rp612.7 million, respectively).

All prices are for the front-wheel-drive model and do not include a destination fee of US$1,225. We’re likely to find the 2022 Kia Telluride in dealerships later this year.

2023 Kia Telluride Interiors

Despite what one might think of the 2023 Kia Telluride bold exterior, the interior is unquestionably refined and comfortable. The build quality is exceptional, the materials are attractive, and desirable features abound.

The SX trim completes it all with the most luxurious options, including a memory driver’s seat configuration, a heads-up display, heated and ventilated rear seats, a premium headliner, and leather upholstery. Sorento, the cabin is more spacious, especially for those who sit in the back seat.

There is room for eight with second-row bench seats or room for seven with optional captain’s seats.

In addition to the ample interior space in the cabin, we can accommodate four carry-on bags behind the third row and a total of 35 carry-on bags with the rear two rows folded down.

The 2023 Kia Telluride also offers a powerful infotainment system with a 10.3-inch touchscreen with popular content including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features as well as multiple power outlets.

A 10-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a 110-volt inverter, and wireless charging for smartphones are also available.

With Driver Talk, available on the EX and SX trim levels, the driver’s voice is amplified through the speakers in both rear rows for better communication with inattentive or unruly passengers.

2023 Kia Telluride Engine

Under the hood of every 2023, Kia Telluride is a naturally aspirated V6 that produces 291 horsepower and 262 pounds of torque. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels in a standard format, all-wheel drive is also optional. Our tested 2023 Kia Telluride SX accelerates to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds.

The big Kia however doesn’t feel as responsive to low-speed throttle input as some of its turbocharged rivals. Self-leveling rear air suspension is also available.

The brakes are excellent and the steering is precise with a nice weight to feel. The 2023 Kia Telluride offers 8.0 inches of ground clearance for off-road travel and can tow up to 5,000 pounds.

Does Telluride Come In Hybrid

The Kia Telluride is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), so the powertrain consists of an internal combustion engine (ICE) and an electric motor powered by a battery. Kia also says that the Telluride has an average fuel economy of 30 mpg on the highway.

2023 Kia Telluride MPG

Unlike many of its rival three-row SUVs, the 2023 Kia Telluride is only offered with a V 6 powertrain. The EPA estimates the front-wheel-drive version to be the cheapest, rated at 20 mpg in the city and 26 mpg in the city.

The all-wheel-drive model drops to 19 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway, which is slightly higher than V6-powered competitors like the Volkswagen Atlas and slightly lower than the Honda Pilot.

The all-wheel-drive 2023 Kia Telluride we tested on the fuel-efficient 75 mph highway delivered 24 mpg, according to its government rating. The Atlas also hit 24 mpg while the driver hit 27 mpg in our real-world tests.

For more information on Telluride’s fuel economy, visit the EPA website.

2023 Kia Telluride Release Date

It’s still our speculation the updated 2023 Telluride Release Date will likely debut in a US-spec configuration in late 2021 and will likely go on sale sometime in late 2022 if Kia’s production schedule goes according to plan.

2023 Kia Telluride Price

For 2022, Kia is giving 2023 Kia Telluride a new look at the logo, with the company brand badge appearing prominently on the slightly revamped grille, rear lift doors, and steering wheel cover.

The SUV’s two lower trims also benefit from better standard features, including a 10.3-inch touchscreen (replacing the old 8.0-inch unit) and automatic temperature control. Plus, both models now come with semi-autonomous adaptive cruise control that even uses the navigation system to actively adjust the vehicle’s speed when entering and exiting corners.

The 2023 Kia Telluride is such a great value that we’d even opt for the top-of-the-line SX model. It comes standard with striking features, such as a 12-way electric driver’s seat, 20-inch wheels painted black, Harman Kardon stereo, front and rear sunroofs, and a second-row captain’s seat. Those who want the added security that comes with an all-wheel-drive can have it for an additional $1900.

We will further enhance our 2023 Kia Telluride with the SX Prestige package which features a heads-up display, heated and ventilated second-row seats, Nappa leather upholstery, and more. The tow pack hitch and self-leveling rear suspension are also worthy additions to make the most of tow ute capabilities.

Verdict

The 2023 Kia Telluride is a satisfying SUV to drive. Its V6 engine is responsive, though direct acceleration is ultimately average for a three-row SUV. In Edmunds testing, our Telluride test vehicle sprinted from 0 to 60 mph in 7.5 seconds, which is similar to the acceleration of the Honda Pilot and Hyundai Palisade. The brakes are strong and can stop Telluride in a hurry. They are also easy to control for consistent and smooth stops.

The steering is light at parking speeds and the weight goes up naturally when taking turns. The 2023 Kia Telluride is stable while turning and does not exhibit excessive body roll. We also like the fuel-efficient engine stop-start feature that works smoothly and quietly.

2023 Kia Telluride is quite convenient. The seat is supportive and nicely contoured, with an almost pillow-like headrest. Outside noise barely penetrates inside, making the luxury car cabin silent even at freeway speeds. Engine noise is present, but never unpleasant or distracting. For a three-row SUV, the 2023 Kia Telluride is generally smooth, although it can get a little rough on uneven pavement.

The climate control system is easy to use and regulates the temperature correctly on all three lines. While the seat heating and ventilation aren’t the strongest on the market, it’s nice to see it available for first and second-row passengers.

2023 Kia Telluride offers very spacious and luxurious cabins with easy access to all three rows. Passenger space is very good in the second and third rows. The space feels more open in part thanks to a large number of windows. Only the front passenger knee space is a bit cramped.

Controls are clearly labeled and grouped logically. However, the driver has to stretch to reach the infotainment screen. Visibility is excellent thanks to the large windows. The camera system and parking sensors are helpful additions.

Cargo space is very spacious, with 21 cubic feet behind the third row and 87 cubes with both rows folded down. The hatch openings are wide and accommodating, and there’s a useful underfloor compartment too. With a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds, the 2023 Kia Telluride matches the class leader.

Storage of small items is a drawback. While there are several options for organizing small items, there is less room for small personal items than for some competitors. Have a small child? The child restraint seat is easy to install, and the car seat anchors are easy to find.

The 2023 Kia Telluride all-wheel-drive fuel economy estimate is slightly below the average at 21 combined (19 city/24 highway). On the plus side, our 2023 Kia Telluride test hit around 23 mpg on our 115-mile mixed driving evaluation route, which suggests the EPA figures are realistic. You can run the V6 on regular fuel, unlike some rival SUVs which require premium fuel to restore rated power and fuel economy figures.

That’s why the 2023 Kia Telluride is an impressive three-row SUV. It offers a quiet and luxurious cabin, impressive technology, spacious standard features, adult-friendly third-row seating, and a satisfying driving experience. It has a few minor flaws, but overall this Kia is a great choice for a three-row crossover SUV.
