2023 Buick Enclave is a fun medium between mid-range and luxury SUVs. It’s more premium than midsize SUVs from mainstream brands like Chevrolet Traverse but more affordable than true luxury SUVs like the Audi Q7.
If you prioritize comfort and practicality over sporty performance, you’ll love the Enclave. It has a quiet and comfortable ride, and the standard V6 engine provides plenty of power. It also has a spacious interior with third-row seats that you can use, plus plenty of cargo space.
In addition to the new paint color and new wheel design, Buick has not made any significant changes for the 2023 Enclave. However, it gets a refresh for 2022 with an updated style, more standard safety features, infotainment technology, and a new Sport Touring package.
2023 Buick Enclave Review
2023 Enclave Coming from a recent refresh, we think the 2023 Buick Enclave will be a built-in model with a full redesign expected to arrive for the 2024 model year. For the 2022 model year, the Buick Enclave received a mid-cycle refresh. Buick gives the Enclave an updated exterior style, more standard safety features, standard wireless smartphone compatibility, updated transmission shift button design, and level new Sport Touring trim.
As a built-in model, the Enclave 2023 should have the same exterior design as the models sold today. The 2022 Enclave comes with an updated design thanks to new headlights, revised taillights, and improved front and rear bumpers. The SUV also received new wheels. The result is an SUV with a much sharper design than before.
On the inside, the Enclave currently has a handsome design with sweeping lines and a dashboard centered around the touch screen. The center console splits physical controls for the HVAC system and infotainment for ease of use.
The HVAC control is located closer to the driver than the infotainment system for easier reach. The enclave’s substandard materials continue to hold it back from more high-end rivals. As a carryover model, the 2023 Buick Enclave will have the same interior design as the SUV sold today.
The Enclave 2023 comes standard with an eight-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Wi-Fi hot spots, a wireless smartphone charger, Bluetooth, a 4.2-inch driver information center, and six audio speakers. Available features include an 8-inch driver information center, a Bose 10-speaker audio system, navigation, and a head-up display.
The upcoming 2023 Enclave is available with the same powertrain as the current SUV. The Enclave should come with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission is standard. The Enclave will be standard with front-wheel drive and is available with all-wheel drive.
Buick updated Enclave’s list of standard safety features for the 2022 model year and will continue to be available for the 2023 Enclave. This SUV now comes with standard automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane guard assistance, rear traffic warning, blind spot monitoring, pedestrian detection, and parking sensors. Enhanced automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control are available.
Buick Enclave 2023 Report
The 2023 Buick Enclave will arrive as the sixth model year for the second-generation crossover nameplate, after an updated 2022 model year with just a few changes and updates. Now, the GM Authority has figured out when they start regular production for the 2023 Buick Enclave will begin.
According to GM Authority sources, regular production for the 2023 Buick Enclave will begin on June 11, 2022. Production of the 2023 Buick Enclave will take place at delta township’s Lansing GM plant in Michigan.
The 2023 Buick Enclave comes after the updated 2022 Buick Enclave, the latter introducing a new front fascia with a larger front grille and reshaped LED headlights, a new rear fascia, and new taillights. The interior was also revised, now incorporating a refurbished center console, premium soft touch points, and an Electronic Transmission Range Select shifter push button.
The Buick Enclave nameplate was originally scheduled to receive an update for the 2021 model year, but the refresh was delayed to the 2022 model year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
As for the changes introduced with the 2023 model year, the paint options list will no longer include the Quicksilver Metallic color, as the GM Authority was the first to report. Marked with a GAN paint code, Quicksilver Metallic has been replaced with a new color, namely Moonstone Grey Metallic which is marked with the GXD paint code.
As a reminder, the Buick Enclave has only one power generation option, which is the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LFY gasoline. Peak output is rated at 310 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 266 pound-feet of torque at 2,800 rpm, all of which are geared through GM’s nine-speed automatic transmission as standard. Front-wheel drive is also standard, with all-wheel drive offered as an optional upgrade.
Under the body panels, the Buick Enclave uses the GM C 1 platform.

Buick Enclave Driving
The Buick Enclave is a pleasant SUV for both the driver and passengers. The standard V6 engine seamlessly delivers enough power through an unobtrusive 9-speed automatic transmission.
The suspension is appropriate, the steering is precise, and the braking is not thunderous. The result is a fun SUV to drive, and your passengers may feel like they are in a more expensive luxury SUV.
If you’re looking for outstanding performance in a 3-line SUV, we’ll point you to sporty competitors like the Ford Explorer ST or the Acura MDX Type S. However, the Enclave is an excellent SUV for anyone who wants to forget about thrilling sensations for the sake of quiet comfort.
Part of Buick’s fun journey comes from his QuietTuning system. These include active noise cancellation, a layered acoustic glass windshield, and many silencers all over the body to make it quiet in the cabin, even on the road.
Front-wheel drive (FWD) is becoming standard, and it’s good for most drivers, but all-wheel drive (AWD) is a good option if you live in a snowy climate. The extra traction makes the Enclave much better in bad weather but comes with little fuel economy.
2023 Buick Enclave Avenir
The Buick Enclave 2023 is a midsize three-row SUV with seating for seven passengers. In this class of vehicles, the Enclave earned praise for its spacious interior and cargo space, quiet and comfortable ride, and a long list of standard features.
Unfortunately, the Enclave is priced similarly to the entry-level luxury rivals that include the Acura MDX and Infiniti QX60, but the quality of the interior materials doesn’t quite meet those expectations. In this regard, the Buick is more in line with more affordable alternatives such as the Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride, the Edmunds Top Rated SUV for 2022.
In 2022, the Enclave received several updates that included fresher styling, interior updates, and more standard technology features. As a result, we do not expect significant changes for the Buick Enclave 2023.
The Enclave is available in three options: Essence, Premium, and Avenir. The veneer is a decent value and opens up tempting options such as adaptive suspension, but its interior fails to meet its luxury aspirations.
If Avenir runs out of budget, we’ll consider mid-tier Premium. It comes with luxurious touches such as a hands-free liftgate, massaging front seats, and a nicer instrument cluster screen. Plus, the Enclave’s best asset—its practicality—doesn’t change at a higher trim.

The look has changed slightly through various models, with the Sport Touring Edition giving it a sportier look with a black grille and alloy wheels, and the Avenir trim having a more premium aesthetic.

2023 Buick Enclave MPG
Enclave 2023 comes with only one engine option. The Buick 3.6-liter V-6 produces 310 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque, which is powerful for its class. The nine-speed automatic transmission delivers power to the front wheels by default. All-wheel drive is available on all trims. When we first rode this generation, the AWD Enclave did a 0-60-mph sprint in 7.0 seconds.
Fuel economy starts on 18/26 mpg city/highway and down notch with all-wheel drive. That’s mediocre for a modern crossover, especially when rivals like the Volvo XC90 are available with a hybrid powertrain.

2023 Buick Enclave Buyers who find a BMW or Mercedes-Benz too flashy may find a lower-class but lower-class version of the SUV in the Buick Enclave. With three spacious rows of seats, the 2023 Buick Enclave is also a good choice for a growing family.
It’s mechanically linked to the Chevrolet Traverse and uses the same 3.6-liter V-6 and nine-speed automatic transmission as its bow-tie cousin. Performance is delightful, and the 2023 Buick Enclave delivers a smooth ride and quiet cabin.
The 2023 Buick Enclave’s downfall is its low-end interior materials, which don’t quite set it apart from the cheaper, less-luxurious Traverse trim. And the Enclave’s lack of refinement is evident when parked next to comparable Audis, Lincolns, and Volvos—again, its starting price is thousands of dollars less than the luxury model.
The 2023 Buick Enclave is a midsize three-row SUV positioned between high-end and entry-level luxury brands. That means it’s more expensive than models like the Chevrolet Traverse (associated with it) and the Honda Pilot but less expensive than the Acura MDX or Audi Q7.
You get the quiet, smooth ride you’d expect from a Buick. The interior of the 2023 Buick Enclave is also quite large and can accommodate a lot of cargo, even with the third-row seats being used.
But overall we didn’t find this Buick SUV offering big enough to make it an attractive alternative to our top-rated SUVs like the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade.
The next-gen 2023 Buick Enclave will receive a styling update, and the updated model will likely also have interior updates and some new features when it arrives later this year.

The facelifted model will go on sale later this year. Buick hasn’t shared equipment, pricing, or mechanical details yet.
We don’t think there will be any changes to the 2023 Buick Enclave standard powertrain, the 3.6-liter V6 engine, but GM may add a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbo to the range. associated with this engine and could lower Enclave’s starting price and improve EPA fuel economy figures (the 2.0-liter XT6 has a combined 2 mpg more than the V6 model).
The New 2023 Buick Enclave seen here is the latest version of the Avenir, indicating trim levels will remain the same for the new model year. 2023 Buick Enclave Redesign
A First Look at the 2023 Buick Enclave with a New Face Buick’s Big SUV Take a look at Buick’s updated three-row SUV.
If the 2023 Buick Enclave sounds familiar to you, it’s because Buick unveiled a redesigned large SUV exterior in January and now the brand wants to say more about the updated three-row model.
Unfortunately, good things don’t come to those who wait, as there are no surprises among the various other SUV upgrades.
There are no major changes to the powertrain or interior design, except for a new steering wheel and a slightly modified center layout that adopts a push-button selector for the transmission. These buttons help drive the nine-speed automatic transmission installed in the 2023 Buick Enclave, mated to a 310 hp 3.6-liter V6 engine.
It’s a nice combination of powertrain and details that Buick won’t have to hide from the media and consumers for months. Like the 2022 Enclave, the new 2023 Buick Enclave is expected to come standard with a front-wheel drive, although all-wheel drive is optional.
As such, the revised 2023 Buick Enclave exterior remains great news. Luckily for Buick, our feelings for the new SUV’s look remained the same for months later – we dug into it. New grille, stylish and high, low daytime running lights. -Installed headlights and a slightly modified tail end give the 2023 Buick Enclave a more sophisticated and less generic style.
This is especially evident in the top-of-the-line Avenir form, which includes grille inserts, front and rear fascia, custom wheels and taillights, as well as special interior details such as the license plate. load compartment, special finishing parts, and heated front seats. ventilation and massage.
Look back at the sleek styling of the past and the 2023 Buick Enclave remains the same SUV it used to be, for better or for worse. hoping for a more comprehensive update.
2023 Buick Enclave Changes
The 2023 Buick Enclave presented itself quietly with confidence. Don’t expect any groundbreaking changes, but the Buick Enclave will get a major redesign for next year. Giving comfortable-minded drivers more of what they want, Buick unveiled the redesigned 2022 Enclave SUV on Thursday.
The three-row premium SUV gets the added help of enhanced technology and styling, both inside and out, although you might not notice a major change, from what it lacks at first glance.
If you don’t see any difference between this 2023 Buick Enclave and previous models, that’s okay. This is a pretty hidden update. The grille and headlights of the vehicle were updated, the front and rear fairings were slightly redesigned and a new wheel design was offered.
By separating the Avenir top-shelf model from other 2023 Buick Enclave packages, this model gets a unique grille with a mesh texture instead of the more traditional bars. In addition, the front and rear of the Avenir are slightly different, the taillights are different and come with color sill trims, Bodywork to make it look more cohesive, and of course also equipped with the Special Avenir badge inside and out.
2023 Buick Enclave Refresh
The planned 2021 Buick Enclave refresh has been pushed back to 2022 due to complications caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Automotive News, GM is prioritizing new and completely redesigned vehicles amid the COVID-19 business crisis. For many updated models, the cost of updating has been absorbed, whereas new vehicles will lose more if they are not launched on time.
An analyst who spoke to AN also said automakers are “getting more results,” completely new versus refreshed vehicles, helping to attract more attention and potentially getting more foot traffic to dealerships.

The Buick Enclave 2023 is expected to feature redesigned front and rear fascia with new LED lighting. The prototype is also spotted with two different exhaust treatments – one with pipes tucked under the rear bumper, which will be standard on the base trim levels, and double trapezoidal pipes, which will come standard on high-end trims like the Avenir.
The new 2023 Buick Enclave for China (above) is believed to feature several styling elements that will carry over to the US-spec refreshed model. While the Chinese model is a different vehicle, the US model is expected to feature narrow LED headlights similar to Chinese-spec vehicles, a similar grille, and other comparable styling cues.
Several GM vehicles have withdrawn due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The automaker previously confirmed that a planned 2021 Chevrolet Traverse refresh would arrive for the 2022 model year, while a Cadillac XT4 refresh has also been placed at the rear.
2023 Buick Enclave Interior
Most three-row SUVs offer good comfort in the first two rows, and the 2023 Buick Enclave is no exception. There are good seat cushioning and armrests throughout the cabin, and while the third row isn’t particularly comfortable, it can accommodate adults, unlike the back row of some competitors. Air ventilation for each row is a plus.
The 2023 Buick Enclave offers excellent ride quality, even without the optional adaptive suspension, and the cab is very well isolated from outside noise. Our only gripe comes from some of the interior creaks as materials rub against each other as the body flexes over low-speed bumps.
The simple layout of the 2023 Buick Enclave cabin may be a little boring, but it also makes it easy to use.
The abundance of space and the ability to shift the second-row captain’s seat makes for a very comfortable cabin when you’re not carrying a full load. Getting in and out is a breeze with the relatively low travel height of the 2023 Buick Enclave. Another benefit of the standard captain’s seat is the easy passage to the third row.
Visibility is good, although we might have appreciated the slightly larger side mirrors.
Otherwise, the square windows leave a bit hidden, and an optional comprehensive camera system helps you avoid fixed objects when parking or backing out of space.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have become a necessity for many buyers today, and the 2023 Buick Enclave includes them as standard equipment, along with a total of six USBs scattered throughout the cabin.
The optional Bose audio system delivers the sound quality you expect at this level. And even if you don’t need it, the onboard navigation is easy to use, if not dated.
For those who need to connect outside of their smartphone, 4G LTE hotspots are still available if you sign up for a data plan, as are app-controlled telematics functions (e.g., remote lock/unlock, engine start). There are some advanced driver aids available, but hardly any standard equipment.
If cargo space is what you need, then the 2023 Buick Enclave is the champion of your class. With the numbers, it has a huge cargo area (23.6 cubic feet) behind the rear seats and a whopping 98 cubic feet with all rows folded. Our testers featured third-row seats that fold electronically, which is a pleasant comfort.
The cabin has a decent amount of small luggage storage, with the most usable space perhaps the two-tier center armrest. Bonus storage compartments under the shifters are made possible by Buick’s fully electronic shifters. There is plenty of room for car seats. And the car seat anchor in one of the captain’s seats is quite accessible but not as easy to find as on some other Buick vehicles.
2023 Buick Enclave Exterior
True to its unique exterior styling, the Avenir models feature distinctive trim, a special pattern sewn into the seat covers, and bright sill-plate accents in the cargo area.
Ventilated and massaged front seats are also offered, as is an active suspension system with Continuous Damping Control. These features will help the Avenir distance itself from the lower 2023 Buick Enclave, if not necessarily stand out from other premium SUVs.
One of the most important changes made to the Buick Enclave for 2022 is the addition of advanced assistive technology. Buick Driver Confidence Plus, a suite of nine tools, is standard on every model.
This includes perks such as automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and more.
Of course, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, both of which offer wireless connectivity, are also standard equipment. As an option, the updated 2023 Buick Enclave also offers knick-knacks such as rear-view mirrors, a tinted head-up display, and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
2023 Buick Enclave Engine
Under the hood, nothing has changed for 2022. The familiar 3.6-liter V6 engine gives the 2023 Buick Enclave its frenzy, making 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, the same as the current model. A nine-speed automatic transmission is standard, routing a lap forward or all four tires while for the 2023 Buick Enclave we expect significant changes to the engine with changes to be more powerful.
2023 Buick Enclave Powertrain
Nothing’s official yet but judging by the powertrain side this continues, the 2023 Buick Enclave fuel economy shouldn’t change. For reference, the current front-drive example delivers 18 mpg around the city and 26 mpg on the highway.
Combined, they are rated at 21 mpg. Models equipped with all-wheel drive are less efficient at 1 mpg on each drive cycle, which isn’t too bad.
New for the following year, a dedicated hardware button has been added to the dashboard so you can disable the fuel-efficient stop-start system — you know if wasting gas was your way of having fun.
Interiors
Unsurprisingly, smooth is the name of the game in this updated SUV too. The cabin design and layout are very familiar. There’s a flowing, almost breezy dashboard, and lots of slick soft plastic.
Expect plenty of passenger space in the second and third-row seats, just like before. In bigger news, the center console is redesigned and so are the electronic shifters. Gone are those silly tooth pickers that looked like candy-bar phones from circa 2004.
This has been replaced by a much more stylish (and perhaps more ergonomic) push-button arrangement, which looks clean and elegant on the console.
2023 Buick Enclave MPG
At an EPA estimate of 21 mpg combined with all-wheel drive, the 2023 Buick Enclave is slightly less efficient than the competition. The Kia Telluride returns 21 mpg, and the Toyota Highlander gets around 23 mpg with AWD.

2023 Buick Enclave Price
While official pricing has yet to be announced, the outgoing 2023 Buick Enclave starts at 41 grand and changes. Expect a refreshed 2023 Buick Enclave model all over the figure like gravy on a chicken fried steak.
Vehicles typically get a few dollars more expensive each year, and this one may be no exception, but a Buick spokesperson said the difference should be minimal. Go cray-cray and load up the Avenir model with every available option and you’ll have no trouble pushing it past the $61,999 threshold.
For 2023 the Buick Enclave hasn’t changed much with the 2023 Buick Enclave, but it’s still nice to see the tri-shield brand perfecting this three-row SUV. The refurbished 2023 Buick Enclave is scheduled to go on sale in the fall, so look for it at a dealer.
2023 Buick Enclave Release Date
The 2022 Enclave will go on sale later this year. However, for the year 2023 the Buick Enclave, we still can’t say for sure when the release schedule will be. But generally will debut at the end of next year.
Verdict
The 2023 Buick Enclave is one of the faster-accelerating midsize SUVs, taking just 7 seconds to accelerate to 60 mph. The transmission is responsive but operates smoothly and smoothly, which makes for a very good combination.
The 2023 Buick Enclave also handles pretty well for a large three-row SUV, never feeling heavy or heavy. The steering wheel provides easy maneuverability at parking-lot speeds and good highway stability, while the brakes make it easy to stop smoothly.
The 2023 Buick Enclave is a close cousin of the Chevrolet Traverse but it’s a bit of a dresser. It’s a fully-fledged three-row SUV with plenty of power and space, but it’s also one of the most expensive options, although it doesn’t look that way from an interior quality perspective.
Of course, there are more attractive SUVs in this segment, but the 2023 Buick Enclave is worth checking out if you like a quiet, comfortable ride that’s easy to drive around town.
